Pop-up boutiques, in which designer fashion is showcased in a shop for a temporary period of time before closing and "popping up" in a different location, has reached China. Pop-up store Dysemevas found hold in Hong Kong in November for six weeks and was only meant to be temporary but since has plans to move to Beijing and Shanghai as well. Dee Poon, its founder, wants to showcase how China is not just a manufacturer of goods but a design center as well.
