Streaming Music Sites Can't Reach Royalty Deal
Internet sites like Pandora that stream music are in contentions with the Copyright Royalty Board over paying $.19 per-song fee, arguing that such fees would put them out of business. They want to pay a percentage of their yearly revenue instead. Furthermore, a proposed agreement stimulates that bigger revenue companies pay a greater per-song fee and percentage then smaller revenue companies, which smaller companies argue discourages them from growing.
